Full Job Description
LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Management team **Work Schedule:** 3rd Shift Casual/On call **Job Responsibilities:** * Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients. * Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications * Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner. * Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions. * Provide customer education and information as needed. * Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies. * Prepare and triage specimens for analysis. * Accurately identify and label specimens. * Pack and ship specimens as necessary. * Prepare and store excess specimen samples. **Minimum Qualification:** * High School Diploma or GED equivalent ** Preferred Qualification:** * Current or prior Labcorp experience * Associates degree or higher * 6 months/ years’ or more of experience in a medical/clinical laboratory experience **Additional Job Standard s** * Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal * Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures * Comfortable handling biological specimens * Ability to accurately identify specimens * Experience working in a team environment * Strong data entry and organizational skills * High level of attention to detail * Proficient in MS Office * Ability to lift up to 40lbs. * Able to pass a standardized color blindness test At LabCorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives.
