Full Job Description

Labcorp is seeking a **Specimen Management Specialist** to join our team in Raritan, NJ. **Work Schedule:** Monday - Friday and alternating Saturdays (12pm - 8:30 pm) **Job Responsibilities:** * Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients. * Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications * Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner. * Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions. * Provide customer education and information as needed. * Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies. * Prepare and triage specimens for analysis. * Accurately identify and label specimens. * Pack and ship specimens as necessary. * Prepare and store excess specimen samples. **Minimum Qualifications** * High School Diploma or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications** * 3 months or more of specimen processing experience * 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience **Additional Job Standards** * Comfortability with handling biological specimens * Ability to accurately identify specimens * Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills * Ability to work independently and within a team environment * High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask * Ability to work in a fast paced production environment and meet established turn-around times * Strong communication skills; both written and verbal * Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position * Able to pass a standardized color blindness test * Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs At Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
