Full Job Description

Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Management team in Houston, TX. **Work Schedule:** 8 am- 5 pm Monday- Friday **Job Responsibilities:** * Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients. * Resolve internal & external customer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications * Communicates with customers in respectful and professional manner. * Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions. * Provide customer education and information as needed. * Review test forms for accuracy and report any discrepancies. * Prepare and triage specimens for analysis. * Accurately identify and label specimens. * Pack and ship specimens as necessary. * Prepare and store excess specimen samples. **Minimum Qualification** * High School Diploma or GED equivalent * 1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital **Preferred Qualification:** * Current or prior Labcorp experience * Associates degree * 1 year or more of experience in customer service **Additional Job Standards** * Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal * Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures * Comfortable handling biological specimens * Ability to accurately identify specimens * Experience working in a team environment * Strong data entry and organizational skills * High level of attention to detail * Well-versed in applications like Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and willingness to learn new applications * Ability to lift up to 40lbs. * Able to pass a standardized color blindness test At Labcorp we have a passion in helping people live happy and healthy lives.
