What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, 7 years of experience with fiber network deployments, outside and inside plant fiber infrastructure, 7 years of leadership experience leading teams and managing vendors, 7 years of experience with budgeting, forecasting costs, project reporting, capacity planning, quality assurance, equipment turn-up, testing and acceptance

Nice to Have

MBA or Master's degree in Technology, 10 years of relevant industry experience, with technical and people management experience, Experience developing requests for proposals (RFPs), scheduling projects, cost engineering, budgeting and forecasting costs, reporting project status and costs, procurement and consulting with contractors, and vendors, Experience with inside (ISP) and outside (OSP) plant fiber optic network infrastructure, and engineering design and construction, Experience with network drawings, route maps and scopes of work, interpreting fiber test results and auditing projects for compliance with scopes of work, Experience in operational improvement, process/workflow development, and managing complex cross-functional projects

The Metro Technical Operations team is responsible for the design, construction and maintenance of our fiber optic and wireless networks as well as the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and small business customers on our network. Role Description As our Special Projects Manager, Technical Operations, you will support engineering, deployment, operations, last mile and maintenance of a fiber optic network for residential and business customers throughout Denver. In your role, you will report to the Head of Metro Technical Operations and flex within the Market to meet the needs of the business, plugging into areas where needs are critical, then rapidly moving to new improvement opportunities as the business evolves. As a part of your development, you may lend support to other Markets within the Region and take on stretch opportunities leading initiatives impacting functional, Market, or Regional areas of influence.
