Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program, National certification American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Licensure by state regulatory agency if applicable, BLS certification, Effective communication skills, Human relations skills, Analyze data, Solve problems

What You'll Do.

Perform specialized high-acuity neuro-interventional radiographic procedures

Prepare patients and work area

Anticipate physician needs

Operate and troubleshoot C-arms and imaging equipment

Maintain aseptic technique and radiation safety standards

Educate patients and families

Administer radiopharmaceuticals and approved medications

Produce high-quality diagnostic images

Maintain accurate documentation

Respond independently to interventional radiology and neuro call backs

Ensure optimal patient outcomes

Perform radiographic diagnostic/interventional special procedures

Verify referring providers’ orders

Use independent judgment and apply learned methodologies

Educate patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment

efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes

Produce high quality images and prepare/present them

Prepare and maintain accurate documentation

Demonstrate competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures

Demonstrate competence in the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and other approved medications

Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements

Troubleshoot and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance

Maintain a safe environment for patients

Adhere to radiation safety policies

Accountable for ethical

and professional responsibilities

Maintain confidentiality of all work information

Assure the efficient operation of workflow of the department

Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and material

Ensure non-interruption of services

Independently perform prescribed radiographic procedures
