U. S. Citizenship, Secret Clearance or Top Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain a clearance, capable of properly lifting and manipulating loads or weights up to 25 kilograms, capable of meeting physical demands of training with SOF including the ability to hike over rough terrain, function in austere environments and on various fixed or rotary wing aircraft, waterborne craft, or ground transport to observe SOF training evolutions and to conduct training and education, credentialed and privileged (may be elected by gaining unit), Possession of, or eligibility for, a state license to practice in the fields of mental health, counseling, psychology, or social work (beneficial, but not required), current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice in any of the U. S. States, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or the U. S. Virgin Islands (for Healthcare Professionals), current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) (for Healthcare Professionals), If credentialed and privileged, Healthcare Professionals will conduct peer (record) or quality of care reviews as directed by the local government credentialing body and local medical oversight process
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
U. S. Citizenship, Secret Clearance or Top Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain a clearance, doctoral degree in a field of Psychology, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Cognitive Science, Cognitive Neuroscience, Sport Sciences with a specialization in Sport Psychology, or related degree with performance psychology specialization, minimum of 3 years or more post-doctorate degree within the past five years of demonstrable accumulated experience practicing performance psychology, or a related field with military members, athletes and groups of athletes at the levels of NCAA Collegiate, Olympic, or professional sports, or other individuals or groups requiring high levels of mental and physical performance, experience, or willingness to receive training, in the interpretation of computerized neurocognitive testing, capable of properly lifting and manipulating loads or weights up to 25 kilograms and capable of meeting physical demands of training with SOF including the ability to hike over rough terrain, function in austere environments and on various fixed or rotary wing aircraft, waterborne craft, or ground transport to observe SOF training evolutions and to conduct training and education, current, full, active and unrestricted license to practice in any of the U. Nice to Have
experience with Special Operations personnel, Biofeedback certification (BCIA), neurofeedback certification (BCIA), International QEEG Certification Board (IQCB) certification, Possession of, or eligibility for, a state license to practice in the fields of mental health, counseling, psychology, or social work, previous military background/experience
What You'll Do.
interpret test results
provide feedback and recommendations to Service Members based on assessment results
Provides connections with or referrals to additional POTFF or medical resources when appropriate
Biofeedback and/or neurofeedback training with active duty service members to enhance cognitive/psychological performance and psychophysiology
Train and educate active duty personnel in specific cognitive and behavioral skills to enhance cognitive/psychological performance
Advise unit leadership on matters relating to mental performance and performance psychology
Attend and participate in meetings with other POTFF staff members and medical personnel
Collaborate with the POTFF staff to enhance the quality and effectiveness of human performance development and interventions
Participate in periodic meetings to review POTFF services provided to service members and identify opportunities for improvement
Develop and promulgate training materials
Support psychophysiological
and/or psychological performance research
Provide educational briefings to units and commands on a range of cognitive/psychological performance domains
and technologies as required
Document work performed
