What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Master’s degree in social work or related field, State of Michigan License for School Social Worker, Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of educators, students and the general public, Ability to express self clearly, both orally and in writing, Knowledge of productivity applications such as Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software), Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, Exhibit high level of professionalism with the ability to handle confidential information, use good judgment, plan and handle complex projects and maintain a flexible attitude, Ability to take work well with others as a collaborative team member and exhibit good communication skills

What You'll Do.
Assist students and families in obtaining needed community services
Provide group and individual sessions on conflict resolution
appropriate school and social behaviors and identified individual needs
Participate in student evaluations for special education eligibility
Prepare required reports and case management
Assist in crisis prevention and crisis intervention activities
Serve on student study and student support teams
staff and families to complete behavior analyses
Develop behavior plans
Help students and families understand the importance of regular attendance and benefits of education

Team & Collaboration
Work with students, staff and families to complete behavior analyses; Take a leadership role in working with staff and administration to organize staff development activities
Communication Scope
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of educators, students and the general public; Ability to express self clearly, both orally and in writing; good communication skills
