Must Have

Minimum of 7+ years' experience in sourcing (Sourcing Manager II), Minimum of 3+ years' experience in supervising (with sourcing professionals preferred) (Sourcing Manager II), Demonstrated leadership skills including interpersonal relationship building, team facilitation, coaching and mentoring, performance management, and ability to provide both positive and constructive feedback, Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly and concisely communicate information at multiple levels and capable of effective executive management presentations / communications, Ability to adapt easily to change and work in a fast-paced environment, Advanced contracting and negotiations skills – win/win approach, strategy and tactic development, knowledge of contracting principles, laws, regulations, and industry standards, Possess a technical background, demonstrating a base level of mechanical ability to understand physical parts and components based on verbal descriptions or mechanical drawings, Experience working with and understanding technical specifications, as well as a varied background in commodity areas (such as raw materials, castings, stampings, electronics, engines, etc. ), analytical capabilities coupled with solid business and financial acumen, Proven supplier negotiation skills, experience with Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as with ERP planning, Quick study-able to gain a fact based understanding of current supplier base, supplier economics, and major trends in relevant markets, Passion for reducing costs, Exhibits high energy and the enthusiasm to establish a new approach to sourcing, Self-starter and independent worker-able to juggle priorities

Nice to Have

MBA desired, CPIM, ISM, NAPM, CPSM or APICS certification preferred, Experience with SAP is a plus

What You'll Do.

Manages a team of Commodity Managers

and Specialists for assigned supply categories in the effective development and execution of strategic initiatives and tactical procurement for the Sourcing organization to include but not limited to contract negotiation and adherence

and supplier performance management.

Lead a team of Commodity Managers & Specialists in the development and implementation of category strategies coupled with tactical procurement execution to enable our businesses and factories to deliver on our customers’ expectations and achieve our commercial objectives

Accountable for the overall supplier cost

and delivery performance for assigned spend categories

Coach and develop team

Ensure team has tools

and training to accomplish goals

Manage supplier relationships at executive and managerial levels and serve as an escalation point for commercial and operational sourcing issues

Develop and implement corrective action and mitigation plans where needed to deliver on KPIs

Support team in regular quarterly business reviews with key suppliers

Ensure team is leveraging procurement tools including SAP with best practices for efficiency
