Full Job Description
We’re hiring an Solution Engineering Manager Invent, design, and implement engineering solutions to complex material flow/transformation and human/machine efficiency problems throughout the India Amazon supply chain. · Lead and coordinate design and innovation efforts to develop optimal solutions for the fulfillment and transportation network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, site layout, and intellectual property considerations. · Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors to generate high quality, cost effective solutions in very short periods of time. · Simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors. · Provide technical leadership for large-scale engineering projects · Provide Value Stream Mapping for simplifying the process flow along with Statistical Analysis Key job responsibilities Own the design and development of engineering solutions for complex material handling challenges considering human/equipment interactions for the India fulfillment network • Lead and coordinate concept and design development efforts for optimal solutions for the India fulfillment network through equipment specification, material flow, process design, ergonomics, associate experience, operational considerations and site layout • Work closely with vendors, suppliers and other teams to create innovative solutions • Simultaneously manage multiple high-visibility projects and tasks while effectively influencing, negotiating, and communicating with internal and external business partners, contractors and vendors • Conduct detailed design review after implementation in partnering with WHS and Operations • Collaborate with the launch team to ensure every detail is thought through and documented using a layout, module or Standard Operating Procedure and change control • Develop, document and update design standards i
