What They're Looking For.
Must Have
4+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or architecture roles, Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), Experience with containerized environments, Experience with Python and programming ability in a typed language (Java, Kotlin, C#, etc.), Experience building or supporting distributed systems and cloud-based applications, Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows, Familiarity with Event-Driven and Asynchronous Architecture, Understanding of authentication and authorization concepts (SAML, OAuth, etc.), U. S. Citizens with an active DoW clearance with TS/SCI eligibility
Nice to Have
Experience with identity and access management tools (Keycloak), Experience with AI/ML platforms (Vertex AI), Experience with Kubernetes and serverless deployments, Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, Experience with Linux administration (especially RHEL), Experience building data pipelines and/or ETL/ELT pipelines, Experience working in Agile development environments, Experience supporting U. S. Federal Government programs, particularly DoW environments

540 is seeking a Solutions Architect to support our partnership with Google and the Department of War in advancing mission-critical capabilities for a global data processing platform. This platform leverages Machine Learning, modern cloud and containerized technologies to ingest, process, and analyze high-volume, time-series data. In this role, you will support technical architecture efforts and contribute to the design and delivery of distributed systems that enable near real-time analysis and mission insight. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, platform architecture, and mission operations, helping ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and secure within highly regulated, high-impact environments.
