This role will be an essential member of VIAVI’s sales team and work closely with VIAVI’s strategic customers and industry experts for the FOPLT business Line. This role will report into John Winans, Sr. Director Sales for North America. In this role, the Systems Engineer will provide technical and strategic leadership and be responsible for developing solutions to our customers' need which will lead to overachievement of a defined territory quota. This individual will also perform a critical role throughout the entire customer lifecycle, including technical discovery, qualification, solution definition, demonstration, proof of concept, and automation project delivery. **_Job Responsibilities:_** * Provide direct pre-sales and post-sales support to key customers. * Quickly develop a deep knowledge of customers' technical challenges that inhibit their ability to achieve stated product / service delivery objectives. * Demonstrating strength and experience in solution and value selling and the ability to build and demonstrate solid business cases that supports the valu
