What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, 8+ years of experience in software engineering, systems architecture, or solution design, Proven experience designing enterprise-scale applications and distributed systems, understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Deep knowledge of APIs, microservices, and integration patterns, Experience with security, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
Nice to Have
Master's degree or relevant certifications (e. g. , AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF), Experience in financial services or highly regulated industries, Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, Knowledge of data architecture, analytics, and event-driven systems

As a Solutions Architect within PNC's Technology organization, you can be based in Pittsburgh PA, Cleveland OH, Phoenix AZ or Denver CO. The Solution Architect is responsible for designing end-to-end technology solutions that align with business objectives, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and integration across enterprise platforms. This role bridges business needs and technical execution, guiding engineering teams and influencing architecture decisions across multiple systems.
