High school diploma or equivalent, Unrestricted driver license in good standing, Skilled in at least one of the following: power plant operations, electrical and mechanical equipment substation maintenance, Competent in power plant safety protocols, Competent in electrical safety, Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools, Ability and willingness to occasionally travel to and from job sites as assigned, including supporting other sites, Routine operation of a computer/tablet and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer, Frequent oral and written communications, Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required, Complete all required training in a satisfactory manner and timeframe, Adaptive to new technologies and methods, Take ownership of responsibilities and look beyond the work task, with regards to discovering new opportunities for corrective work, Current authorization to work for any employer in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for an employment visa now or in the future
Nice to Have
Associate degree in engineering or related field from an accredited US school other than correspondence or internet, Technical certification in Electrical Technology, Renewable Energy, or related field, OSHA 30 certification and NFPA 70E training, Knowledge of SMA, Sungrow, or similar inverter platforms

completing Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO)
and job-specific documentation to ensure safe maintenance and repair execution
conducting inspections and thermal imaging to detect potential electrical and mechanical failures
replacing and repairing system components such as fuses
documenting all maintenance and repair activities using CMMS and reporting tools
proactively identifying and recommending improvements to job-specific processes and procedures
performing balance of plant (BOP) and switchyard work as required
performing electrical testing as necessary
including insulation and thermal testing
using Microsoft Office and computer software tools in support of communication
identifying gaps in safety standards and recognizing safety risks in the environment
responding promptly to emergencies and performing immediate troubleshooting and corrective actions
ensuring compliance with site protocols for access
being available to support operations outside traditional hours
including emergent abnormal conditions and O & M issues
operating mobile equipment such as mowers
assisting in vegetation management and site upkeep where applicable

Domestic jobs and manufacturing are fundamental to our full-lifecycle approach to projects, along with a long-term ownership model and a company culture dedicated to our community partners and protecting the natural environment. **Job Summary:** The Solar Technician is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance on utility-scale solar PV systems, including inverter stations, combiner boxes, and weather stations, to include diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues using SCADA and on-site testing tools. **Responsibilities:** * _Test, maintain, and troubleshoot solar PV electrical and mechanical equipment_ * _Ensure that all tasks are performed safely and in accordance with site operating procedures_ * _Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), JSAs, Permit to Work, and job-specific documentation to ensure safe maintenance and repair execution_ * _Conduct inspections and thermal imaging to detect potential electrical and mechanical failures_ * _Replace and repair system components such as fuses, wiring, circuit breakers, and modules_ * _Document all maintenance and repair activities using CMMS and reporting tools_ * _Proactively identify and recommend improvements to job-specific processes and procedures_ * _Perform balance of plant (BOP) and switchyard work as required_ * _Perform electrical testing as necessary, including insulation and thermal testing_ * _Use Microsoft Office and computer software tools in support of communication, documentation, maintenance, and troubleshooting_ * _Identify gaps in safety standards and recognize saf
