What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3 years of direct experience as a PV solar technician or 6 years' experience in a non-solar electrical maintenance role, Excellent writing and verbal skills, Valid U. S. Driver license with acceptable MVR history, Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, communications and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers and vendors, Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not steel/composite toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards), Will sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift, Will lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis, Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures, Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergencies
Nice to Have
CEC license or technical degree preferred, Electrical certifications, state, journeyman, etc. a plus, Experience in operating and maintaining power plant electrical systems, SCADA and controls systems operation, troubleshooting advanced electrical components, and using procedures to perform equipment preventative and corrective maintenance preferred, Familiar with CMMS systems for maintenance tracking, Understanding of renewable energy technology
What You'll Do.
maintenance and operation of utility scale PV power plant
monitoring PV Plant operation through SCADA
and modifying AC and DC solar PV systems
supervision of contractors
Perform varying corrective
and emergency maintenance for solar PV systems
Perform onsite installations
Carry out site root analysis and apply root cause analysis techniques on all major and recurring faults
Investigate technical failures and prepare formal technical reports
Perform testing using IV Curve Tracers
Insulation Resistance Testers
Keep track of quality
and stock levels of all materials on the sites
Ensure CMMS work orders are complete in their entirety
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with internal Arevon teams to collect and produce data for various agencies that require reporting documents; Communicate cross-functionally across all necessary parts of the organization to achieve resolution to plant issues; work effectively with both technical and non-technical co-workers and vendors
