About the Role The Software Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring the absolute quality, stability, and reliability of the products delivered by Platform Science across Europe. In this role, you will play a key part throughout the software development lifecycle—validating correct functionality, performance, and alignment with business requirements. Since our development teams are split across Leuven (Belgium) and Lille (France), you will serve as a cross-border quality anchor, collaborating closely with developers, testers, and product owners across both sites. Essential Responsibilities Functional & Regression Testing: Execute manual testing of newly developed features according to product release cycles and validate implementations against functional specifications. Test Automation: Design, maintain, and execute automated regression test suites. Monitor automated execution results and proactively investigate failures. Defect Management: Analyze, document, and report bugs in Jira with crystal-clear reproduction steps, logs, and supporting evidence. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Management, Development, and Support teams to clarify technical requirements and resolve complex issues. QA Continuous Improvement: Contribute actively to the optimization of QA processes, test coverage, and modern testing methodologies.
