What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2–5 years of software engineering experience in frontend development, proficiency in Typescript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, Hands-on experience with React (or similar modern frontend frameworks) and TypeScript, Solid understanding of core programming concepts, data structures, and problem-solving, Experience working with REST APIs and asynchronous programming, Familiarity with frontend architecture, state management, and component-driven development, Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows, Understanding of modern frontend tooling (build systems, bundlers, package managers), Experience debugging issues using browser developer tools, Good understanding of performance optimization and responsive design, problem-solving skills and attention to detail, Effective communication and collaboration skills
Nice to Have
Experience with testing frameworks (e. g. , Jest, React Testing Library), Familiarity with design systems or component libraries, Exposure to frontend performance monitoring tools, Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployment environments, Awareness of accessibility standards and best practices

ROLE SUMMARY Ontic is hiring a Software Engineer (Frontend) to contribute to the development of user interfaces that power our SaaS platform. This role is intended for engineers with solid foundations in frontend development who are growing into independent contributors. You will work on building features end-to-end, improving user experience, and contributing to scalable and maintainable frontend systems. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality code, applying best practices, and collaborating effectively across teams.
