**Amentum is seeking a Software Engineer Senior to support the Space Force Range Contract (SFRC).** # **Essential Functions:** * Participates in designing, developing, troubleshooting and analyzing software programs for new and existing systems * Develops/modifies documentation of new or existing program, as required * Conduct/support complex Level 1, 2, and 3 testing to qualify systems for Range operations * Provides feedback and reports to management on the status of each project supporting * Leads technical proposals as well as software maintenance release efforts including estimating, planning, and scheduling * Supports the efforts of all technical support personnel for assigned projects * Additional duties as assigned # # **Required Skills:** * Effective communication skills with demonstrated capability to brief project information to management and customers * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Strong organizational and time management skills to balance, plan, prioritize and execute projects * Ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment with time constraints * Ability to work independently and as part of a team # # **Required Experience:** * Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science or related science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) field or equivalent to of education and related experience. * Minimum of 8+ years of experience in software engineering * Experience working with Windows and Linux (RedHat and GNU) based computer systems and components * Experience working with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript) * Experience working with design and coding languages * Experience working with virtualized systems (VMware) * Current Security+ CE certification or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of start date * The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements * Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which in
