Full Job Description
## Accountabilities Design, build, and maintain core backend systems powering a distributed database platform at large scale. Develop highly reliable and performant services handling millions of queries per second in production environments. Contribute to the architecture and evolution of distributed systems supporting database clustering and scaling. Debug complex system-level issues across infrastructure, databases, and application layers. Collaborate with engineering peers to solve challenging problems in distributed systems and performance optimization. Engage with customers to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions. Improve system reliability, observability, and operational excellence across the platform. Contribute to codebase quality through clean, maintainable, and well-tested engineering practices. Requirements: 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend or infrastructure systems. Strong proficiency in Go, with additional experience in languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Solid understanding of relational databases such as MySQL and related data modeling concepts. Experience building or operating distributed systems at scale in production environments. Working knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized application deployments. Strong debugging skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues across multiple system layers. Understanding of system performance, scalability, and reliability engineering principles. Ability to work independently with high autonomy and make sound technical decisions. Bonus: experience with database internals, query optimization, or consensus algorithms.
