What They're Looking For.
Must Have
BS in Computer Science and 1 year of experience or a MS in Computer Science, Experience with a compiled language such as Go, Java, C#, or C++, Solid ML/AI concepts, knowledge and relevant coursework, Ability to write effective and efficient queries with relational databases (specifically PostgreSQL), including basic schema design, A solid grasp of the fundamentals of designing and implementing scalable APIs, along with an understanding of design patterns and testing best practices, A basic understanding of GraphQL APIs, CI/CD pipelines, AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
Nice to Have
Internship experience related to AI is a plus, Go experience is a plus, Familiarity or hands-on experience with Agentic Frameworks, MCP, LLM APIs (Anthropic/OpenAI) and basic Prompt Engineering Evals
What You'll Do.
Develop and maintain SmithRx product features
Architect and implement robust 'safety rails' surrounding LLMs
Develop deterministic software that manages
and encapsulates the stochastic nature of AI models
Design and build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and stateful orchestration logic
Integrate data sources with LLMs
multi-step agentic workflows
Apply software development best practices
Expand the capabilities of our platform
Handle various job types and batch processing
Ensure code is fully tested end-to-end
Maintain high code coverage
Document all features thoroughly
Troubleshoot production issues
Execute mitigation plans
Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
Contribute to a collaborative culture through code reviews
Explore new technologies
