As a **Software Engineer Lead – Tandem Mainframe COBOL** , you will be responsible for * Develop core versions of software applications for sale to external clients. * Identify client purchasing requirements and technical specifications through Product Management and/or client representatives. * Interacts with engineering groups to assist in design changes to equipment and/or software. * Train and communicate with clients on systems applications. **About the team:** The Position is in FIS Securities Processing (Phase3) Product. Phase3 is a real-time order-to-settlement securities processing system used by broker/dealers and correspondent clearings firms. **What you will be doing:** * Work on enhancement and Support projects for the Product. * Support FIS solutions and ensure the quality and utilization of FIS products satisfy client needs. * Recreate, document client issues, and troubleshoot problems to support product quality. **What you will need:** * Strong understanding and solid work experience on **COBOL** , **TACL** , **Guardian procedure calls** * Strong understanding and solid work experience on Nonstop Pathway, SQL/MP, **Tandem** Utilities * Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills with working experience on the above skill set * Able to take the initiative and work independently or in a team. * Experience in documenting SOPs to support daily operations. * Domain expertise in Fintech, especially around Brokerage and Clearance * Nice to have experience in C, C++, SQL/MX, and NonStop OSS environments. * Excellent communic
