Full Job Description
ABOUT BEACON AI We’re a fast-moving team of aviators, engineers, and operators building an AI platform to make flying safer, more efficient, and more capable. Backed by top investors, we’ve secured a dozen Department of Defense contracts and partnered with major airlines to deliver mission-critical systems. We operate without silos or heavy processes. Small, focused teams own what they build, ship quickly, and learn fast, pushing the boundaries of how humans and AI work together in aviation. Role Overview We are seeking an iOS Software Engineer to join our mobile team and help build high-impact iOS applications primarily targeting iPad that support our flight safety platform. In this role, you will work closely with senior engineers and designers to develop user-facing features and contribute to production systems. You will have experience building Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) applications, working with location services and map navigation, and integrating with external hardware and edge devices. You are performance obsessed where your applications handle large datasets efficiently such as millions of data points for wind and weather data, and render aviation instruments with precision and zero lag. You understand that EFB applications must remain fully operational in offline and degraded connectivity environments, and you know how to build for that reality. You'll grow your iOS expertise while working on real-time, safety critical applications where reliability and accuracy are non negotiable. What You'll Do - Design and implement iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and modern iOS frameworks. - Build and maintain high performance mobile applications that handle large datasets such as wind and weather data in real time. - Develop and integrate Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) features including location services, map navigation, and aviation instrument displays. - Integrate with external hardware and edge devices to support real time data ingestion and application f
