You must be a Texas resident to work for the Texas Workforce Commission or willing to relocate to Texas. WHO YOU ARE:  Seeking an IT professional who possesses the skill to develop and test accessible Java applications. Demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills. Must have the ability to communicate in a professional, customer-focused manner. WHAT YOU WILL DO:  The Programmer IV-V performs advanced to highly advanced (senior-level) computer programming work. Work involves overseeing programming projects, analyzing proposed applications and designing software solutions. May supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Maintain a dependable work schedule and be available for occasional or regular work outside of standard business hours to ensure operational continuity and timely completion of critical tasks. YOU WILL BE TRUSTED TO:  -Perform senior-level automated systems development work in support of Application Solutions software systems.  -Perform or may oversee software development activities during all phases of the system development lifecycle (SDLC): design, code, test, implement, and maintain.  -Diagnose problems with automated applications and takes corrective action.
