Lightspark is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, but serves the world. We're hiring new grads to help build the next generation of open payments infrastructure. You'll ship production code across our stack, work directly with senior engineers, and build APIs that large companies use to move real money around the world. We move fast and we expect a lot. You'll own real projects end-to-end early, with tight feedback loops from senior engineers, and the AI tooling (and unlimited token budget) to actually move at the pace we're hiring for. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: - Architecting the Future of Payments: Design and ship production services and APIs powering global payments, including some of our flagship products that move serious volume. - AI-Augmented Engineering: You will heavily use claude code, codex, and in-house agentic coding tools to multiply your impact, automate common workflows, answer your own questions, and more. We're not stingy with tokens, and we expect you to get real leverage from these tools, not just autocomplete. - Polyglot Fullstack Execution: You’ll be shipping high-quality code across Python and TypeScript with the curiosity to chip in with other languages like Go and Rust. - High-Bandwidth Collaboration: Working in-office from our Culver City headquarters, you will collaborate daily with senior engineers to solve complex distributed systems challenges
