What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2–3 years of software engineering experience, programming skills in Java, solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), data modeling, experience working with Kafka or similar streaming technologies, experience building backend systems, APIs, microservices, problem-solving and debugging skills
Nice to Have
working knowledge of Python, exposure to LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, background or interest in cybersecurity (SIEM, EDR, SOC workflows), familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), knowledge of Linux, networking, distributed systems fundamentals, exposure to real-time or high-scale data processing systems, exposure to AI-assisted development tools, modern engineering productivity platforms, familiarity with using AI tools to support coding, debugging, testing, documentation, developer workflows
