What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2–3 years of software engineering experience, programming skills in Python and/or Java, Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design, Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, or similar), experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and data modeling, Experience working with Kafka or similar streaming technologies, Experience building backend systems, APIs, and microservices, problem-solving and debugging skills
Nice to Have
Exposure to LLMs, embeddings, or vector databases, Background or interest in cybersecurity (SIEM, EDR, SOC workflows), Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Knowledge of Linux, networking, and distributed systems fundamentals, Exposure to real-time or high-scale data processing systems, Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering productivity platforms, Familiarity with using AI tools to support coding, debugging, testing, documentation, or developer workflows
