As a Software Development Manager (SDM), you will lead engineers to solve challenging technical and business problems. You will use your technical skills, leadership, and partnership with stakeholders to design, build, and evolve the systems in the front end space. You will work closely with business teams, product managers, engineers, and partner teams to create and drive plans that transform innovative ideas into products that delight your customers. Key job responsibilities Lead and develop a team of mobile-obsessed software development engineers that operates at the scale of the Amazon wStore within an Agile environment Thinking big and working with executive leadership and business stakeholders to define strategy and roadmap. Drive team execution against our product roadmap, project plans and delivery commitments. Set up mechanisms to monitor operational excellence while meeting/exceeding system SLAs (e.g. Availability, Latency). Work closely with the engineers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach for native app rendering. Work with your team to define and develop an inclusive team culture that fosters individual growth and team success. Provide a work environment that allows employees to have fun and advance in their careers.
