About the Role We are looking for an engineering manager to lead our Payments team, the system through which every dollar on Twitch flows. Your team builds the purchase experiences that millions of viewers use daily and the payment infrastructure that enables 7+ million creators to earn a living doing what they love. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will own real technical problems: orchestrating payments across multiple third-party vendors, maintaining sub-second response times at global scale, modernizing legacy systems while keeping the lights on, and ensuring every transaction is accurate down to the penny. You'll lead a team of ~5-7 engineers, many of them senior, and you'll be expected to go deep on architecture decisions alongside them. What makes this role unique is its position at the center of Twitch’s business. Payments touch every monetization product. You'll collaborate daily with product, data science, fraud prevention, compliance, and finance teams. You'll have real influence on Twitch's revenue trajectory and direct visibility to senior leadership. This is also a strong growth role.
