Full Job Description
Own the design, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and delivery of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, systems, platforms, services or technologies using Java, service-oriented architecture, and distributed programming. Provide technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle for distributed software systems. Build, manage, and develop a team of engineers, provide mentoring, and manage resource allocation. Lead design reviews for engineers, and drive feedback on architecture and design issues. Participate in strategic planning to achieve technical and business objectives, and define technical direction. Key job responsibilities • Responsible for the overall platform development life cycle • Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments • Manage the day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an Agile/Scrum environment • Management of team resources, hiring, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining a world class engineering team • Work closely with the engineers in a design-first methodology to architect and develop the best technical design and approach that embodies Operational Excellence • Partnering with software development and design teams to deliver on product and services roadmap. • Lead automation efforts for a team advancing a service ownership culture. • Accountable for identifying commonalities across reported customer incidents and drive root cause efforts to understand and resolve these problems. • Driving projects that improve support-related processes and managing Operational cost in running the systems.
