Calendar is one of the key domains within Alexa+, helping families manage their household schedule and aiming to become the smartest AI assistant in the market. Key job responsibilities As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team delivering Calendar features. Your team will own the customer facing experience for Calendar on top Alexa+ LLM based experiences. You will work closely with various key stakeholders. You are expected to manage the roadmap, propose, align, and communicate trade offs to generate the optimal value to customers, providing timely visibility to all stakeholders including senior leadership. You will ensure your team operates efficiently, leveraging latest Generative AI based tools as well as the appropriate cross-platform user-experience frameworks, developing experiences across multiple device types. This role works closely with senior leaders across Alexa to deliver strategic initiatives. A day in the life A typical day includes engaging cross-functional leaders from product and partner tech teams to conceptualize, scope, and plan upcoming deliveries, ensuring alignment on priorities and technical approaches. Throughout the day, you manage project planning by breaking down complex initiatives into actionable tasks, coordinating delivery timelines with your team, and actively tracking progress to identify and resolve blockers.
