Full Job Description
Amazon Tablet (Formerly Fire Tablet) is an iconic product and a thriving business adored by customers around the world – but it’s still “day one” in creating engaging experiences for Tablet customers and improving the experience over multi-generations of tablets. Tablet Software Development team is responsible for creating, developing, and maintaining compelling Fire Tablet applications for Fire Tablet devices. Key job responsibilities - Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary Amazonians to develop, design, and bring to market innovative devices, services and software applications. - Design and build innovative technologies that solve hard customer problems and increase customer engagement with Amazon products. - Work in teams or as a lead to deliver medium to large software development projects, collaborate with other engineers, partners, Technical program managers, Product managers and User Interface design and Quality Assurance engineers. - Be a technical adviser to stakeholders and provide technical information and guidance to leaders. - Lead and contribute to operational excellence initiatives and ensure smooth operational execution and monitoring of Software components. - Share knowledge with team members and mentor SDE-Is or new hires and equip them with the knowledge to transform them into contributing member. A day in the life As a SDE on the team, you will collaborate with other developers, product managers, technical program managers, the team manager, and quality assurance engineers to understand product and software requirements, come up with design and implementation plans clarifying any ambiguity. You will develop high-quality applications with your strong technical background. You will own end to end deliveries, working with stakeholders and partner/dependent teams.
