We are primarily responsible for developing the services that process all of the Item information from millions of merchants who want to sell through the Amazon family of websites. Our expertise lies in managing billions of products in the catalog and developing large scale distributed systems that process hundreds of millions of changes to the catalog every day in real time, publish the data for near realtime and offline analytics and enable teams to diagnose catalog issues. The team offers a unique blend of hard computer science problems and an opportunity to help the businesses model their new ideas. Successful candidates are passionate about translating high-level, ambiguous business goals to software platforms that enable multiple businesses. You are comfortable taking initiative and working along side top-notch software developers and work on cross-team projects. Key job responsibilities Design and build highly scalable distributed systems handling 100K+ TPS and petabyte-scale data pipelines with high reliability and performance Develop agentic diagnostic services providing intelligent monitoring, anomaly detection, and automated troubleshooting for mission-critical operations Write clean, maintainable code following engineering best practices, conduct code reviews, and optimize system performance at scale Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed systems and drive technical initiatives from conception to delivery Take end-to-end ownership of features from design through deployment, participate in
