Amazon.com is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Software Development Engineer to join the Digital Acceleration team. The Digital Acceleration team owns services supporting the publishing, pricing and purchase of Digital content, including Kindle Books, Amazon AppStore, Amazon Music, Amazon Video, etc. This candidate will be joining a team working on scalable web services using cloud technologies and offers opportunity to work on Gen-AI LLM technology. The work will be highly visible to Amazon customers and internal stakeholders. As a Software Development Engineer, this person will lead the architecture and development of high-scale web services and workflows. A successful candidate will have an established background in designing and developing back-end web services, strong technical skills, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, high creativity, and great analytical reasoning skills. Key job responsibilities As a Software Development Engineer II (SDE2) on the Digital Pricing and Promotions team, you will design and build software solutions that power promotional capabilities across Amazon's Digital Acceleration (DA) businesses — including Kindle, Prime Video, and Music. You will own and evolve critical platforms that deliver promotional management, competitive pricing intelligence, and operational automation to pricing managers, business teams, and product managers across DA. You will take meaningful ownership of key products — particularly the Promos UI platform — driving features from initial design through deployment and ongoing maintenance. Your work will span full-stack development: crafting user interfaces with modern web technologies, building robust backend services in Java on AWS, and integrating with Retail promotion systems such as PLM (Promotion Lifecycle Management).
