In this role, you will primarily work on software used by hydrographic surveyors. These surveyors, work for all divisions within Boskalis: dredging & inland infrastructure, offshore energy, towage, and salvage. This means you will encounter a wide range of software-related issues. Your responsibilities as software developer Based on the needs of the Survey department, you'll identify the software that needs to be developed. You'll inventory and analyze the required functionality and then be responsible for designing, building, testing, and documenting the software. The software solutions are often state-of-the-art and require you to have a good understanding of data processing and visualization. A certain level of mathematical knowledge will also be useful in this role. Whether it's existing or newly developed technology, you're up to the task. Developments are moving rapidly, and Boskalis is eager to innovate, so we expect you to be flexible and up-to-date on the latest trends in technical software development.
