Full Job Description

We are looking for a strong Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for building core storage components for the next generation IAM Control Plane architecture. AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) enables customers to secure their workloads in the cloud by providing authentication and authorization mechanisms to all of AWS. We enable our customers to manage their credentials and access policies in the AWS cloud. We operate some of the largest distributed systems in the world, processing billions of transactions per second world-wide. The IAM Control Plane teams are working on the next generation architecture for IAM aiming to improve the scaling, and availability of the system. This team will be responsible for designing, building and delivering on core storage fleet management components, including workloads for building fleets, remediating failures, managing data replication, providing disaster recovery capabilities and similar. Utility Computing (UC) AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
