Full Job Description
Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. As a software engineer for antenna systems, you will collaborate with systems architects, hardware engineering design teams & FW/SW design teams to bring up and test systems combining FPGA, firmware, RF, and networking functions and build advanced tools for the following: - Characterizing subsystems and systems related to antennas - Complex data storage - Hardware test automation - Firmware design and implementation - Application development - Design automation for 2D and 3D structures - Develop bring up tools and scripts for phased array systems Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities - Gathering requirements, designing, implementing, integrating, testing, and launching high-quality, large-scale distributed software systems that solve significant customer problems - Developing the best customer experience, keeping latency, security, and usability in mind - Working across a broad range of AWS technologies to build advanced tools, distributed systems software and automation workflows - Developing solutions that scale across a broad range - Collaborating with a diverse range of cross-functional roles - systems architects, hardware engineering design teams & FW/SW design teams - Promoting a culture of engineering excellence by establishing best practices and technical standards across the organiza
