Full Job Description

Trusted by more startups around the world, AWS makes the power of cloud computing accessible for all by giving founders everywhere access to the same technology that powers the world’s largest companies. With nearly two decades of experience supporting hundreds of thousands of startups, including 80% of unicorns, we democratize cloud computing to help founders bring their innovative ideas to life. We're seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer who wants to change the way we help Startups get started and grow on AWS. We strive to bring new tools, features, and innovations to the Startup community. We are building applications that will use modern architectures, new services patterns, and exciting technologies to ensure we are meeting our customers expectations for performance, availability, and features. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and productionizing software that is stable, performant and scalable. You will ensure that software is delivered on time, directly addresses needs and customer pain-points. With minimal guidance, you will prioritize the correct work, and focuses on solving complex, ambiguous problems in both existing and new software initiatives through the application of appropriate technologies and best practices. You will make appropriate trade-offs, re-use where possible, and are judicious about introducing dependencies. Success in this role means implementing data-driven product improvements and designing intuitive, scalable solutions that enhance the startup customer experience. The ideal candidate holds high technical standards for the themselves and their teammates, helps their team evolve by actively participating in code reviews, mentorships, and design discussions. They constructively identify problems, bottlenecks, and weakness within the system and propose solutions. They demonstrate personal ownership over, or vocally advocates for, projects and software enhancements that improve team processes and products.
