This is a 12 months contract. Amazon’s Global Risk Audit Management - Transportation (GRAM-T) is building AI-powered solutions and integrated platforms to accelerate SCRC's transition to proactive risk management. We are building world class technology cutting across deep algorithmic problems, brand new tools that cater to multi-party business scenarios and challenging data models that are evolving very quickly. Our systems audit across a multitude of international transportation and operational segments which mandates building highly available and scalable distributed systems. Besides technology, there are ample opportunities in the team to build domain expertise of international transportation risk and compliance and get first-hand experience of the Amazon operations by interacting directly with our global internal and external partners, and of course other Amazon software engineers. We are looking for highly talented engineers who are passionate not only about architecting and developing large scale distributed technology solutions but also innovating new ideas and providing directions to our business in the domain of risk and compliance. Being able to deal with ambiguity, anticipating bottlenecks and escalations, and delivering fast are all crucial to the success of technologizing our business. Basic Qualifications: - Experience (non-internship) in professional software development - Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems - Experience programming with at least one software programming language Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent - Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
