Ensure software assets are managed efficiently; Ensure software assets are managed cost-effectively; Ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements; Deliver maximum value from SAM platform, processes, and data; Support compliance, optimization, and lifecycle management; Support budgeting, forecasting, and contract renewals; Ensure SAM supports cross-functional objectives; Ensure system stability, implementation of new features, and lifecycle updates; Support audit readiness and defensive audit management; Mitigate risks associated with unauthorized software usage; Ensure software usage aligns with cybersecurity standards; Drive software optimization initiatives; Enable decision-making through clear dashboards and reporting

What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience), 12+ years of proven experience in Software Asset Management, IT Asset management, or a related IT governance role, Experience with directly managing a small team, Hands-on experience with SAM tools, preferably Flexera or Snow, Solid understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, SAP, IBM, etc.), Demonstrated experience in product ownership, Agile methodologies, or backlog management
Nice to Have
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar certification, ITIL Foundation or IT Asset Management (e.g., CAMP, CSAM) certification, Experience working in complex global environments with hybrid cloud, SaaS, and on prem technologies, analytical skills with experience building dashboards and reports (Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow Performance Analytics)

Manage software assets efficiently and cost-effectively
Ensure compliance with licensing and regulatory requirements
Develop and maintain SAM product vision
Translate business needs into epics
Prioritize backlog for high-value feature delivery
Own and improve SAM processes across software lifecycle
Establish and monitor KPIs for software compliance and cost
Partner with procurement and finance for budgeting and renewals
Serve as business owner for SAM platform
Ensure data accuracy and integrity for SAM platform
Support software license compliance efforts
Identify and mitigate risks of non-compliant software
Analyze usage data for software optimization initiatives
Support vendor management activities with data insights
Enable decision-making through dashboards and reporting
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Act as bridge between business stakeholders, IT operations, procurement, cybersecurity, and vendors; Manage a team of SAM Analysts; Collaborate with IT operations, cybersecurity, legal, and procurement; Communicate product progress, risks, and opportunities to leadership
Communication Scope
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; Fluent in English language (verbal and written)
