What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Master of Social Work (child focus) required, Membership in OCSWSSW required, 3-5 years clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health required, Holistic assessment, treatment and evaluation skills required, CBT, DBT and Solution Focused Therapy knowledge required, Family Therapist background required, Crisis intervention knowledge and skills required, Demonstrated previous group experience required, Demonstrated commitment to professional development, Demonstrated ability to document according to college standards, Demonstrated ability to function independently, Demonstrated ability to think critically, Demonstrated ability to problem solve effectively, Working knowledge of current best practices for addictions treatment, Demonstrated capacity to deliver culturally sensitive and appropriate patient care, Commitment to customer service, Commitment to teamwork, Knowledge of DSM as it relates to child and adolescent population
Nice to Have
Knowledge of Halton Community Resources an asset, Previous experience with electronic documentation preferred
What You'll Do.
Provide comprehensive assessment
Develop treatment plans
Employ evidenced based therapies
Improve outcomes for clients
Conduct case conferences
Consult with treatment providers
Advocate on behalf of the client
Maintain current information on community resources
Maintain linkages with social service agencies
Co-facilitate CBT groups
Co-facilitate DBT groups
Provide short term therapy
Provide long term therapy
Provide case management
