We are looking for a Social Studies Teacher for an international school based in Chongqing. This position is available from the upcoming 2026-27 academic year starting in August 2026. Job details * Teach Social Studies-related subjects to high school students, including areas such as American Government, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, History, and Geography * Prepare lesson plans and deliver engaging lessons aligned with American curriculum standards * Use a range of teaching methods and resources to support different learning needs * Assess students’ progress, grade assignments, and provide clear feedback to students and parents * Support students who need additional help and provide extension activities for higher-achieving learners * Prepare students for tests, exams, presentations, projects, and other assessments * Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues * Attend staff meetings, parent meetings, workshops, and other school activities as required * Supervise students during classes, school events, and field trips * Monitor students’ wellbeing and work with the school counselor or relevant staff when needed **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant subject area * Valid teaching license or certification * Minimum 3 years of classroom teaching experience, preferably at middle or high school level * Experience with US Common Core o
