What They're Looking For.
Must Have
3+ years of experience in IT/Security operations or SOC role, Knowledge and experience in network switches, routers and firewalls, Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Access
Nice to Have
Network+, CCNA R&S, Security +, Linux security, windows security or forensics training is plus, Professional Security certification preferred (CIHE, CEH, CPTE, or equivalent)
What You'll Do.
Monitor information security incidents and risks
Solve security incidents as per business requirements
Develop action plans to mitigate vulnerabilities
Promote security initiatives
Work as part of 24x7 security operation team
Follow up security incidents and events
Ensure continuity of work
Respond to security incidents
Report on incident handling and resolution
Participate in forensic analysis
Participate in data recovery
Participate in penetration testing
Perform daily security analysis
Perform scanning and assessment for information security risks
Perform assessment for threats and vulnerabilities
Research new vulnerabilities
Research new exploits
Configure security systems
Administer security systems
Define security technologies
Evaluate security technologies
Provide security recommendations
Improve security posture
Follow departmental policies
Follow departmental processes
Follow standard operating procedures
Review computer security
Review emergency gate identified vulnerabilities
