Objective of job As a world-leading OEM, Mercedes-Benz is looking for experienced experts who share the same passion and enthusiasm to bring SOA features into our product. Spearheading the company’s shift to Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV), this role is responsible for planning the Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) strategy, addressing the pain point of tight hardware-software coupling in traditional vehicles, supporting rapid iteration of vehicle functions and user experience upgrades, and helping the company build an extensible, highly reusable software ecosystem to seize the technological high ground in intelligent vehicles. Task description 1. Architecture Design and Management Lead the core architecture design of the vehicle ‑ on ‑ board SOA platform, including service layering, interface specifications, communication protocols (e.g., SOME/IP, DDS, MQTT), and service governance frameworks. Design cross ‑ domain service ‑ oriented solutions spanning Body, Powertrain, Intelligent Cockpit, Autonomous Driving, etc., to achieve hardware abstraction and software decoupling. Establish and maintain SOA design principles, standards, and best practices, ensuring unified compliance across internal teams and external suppliers. 2. Technology Implementation and Deployment Lead the development and integration of critical service components; guide the team in service modeling, interface definition, and code generation. Drive SOA adoption in mass ‑ production programs, coordinating software – hardware integration, test validation, and performance optimization. Establish a service lifecycle management mechanism covering version control, compatibility policies, and OTA (Over ‑ The ‑ Air) upgrade support.
