This position is a key member of the Dexterra Group business and reports directly to the Operations Team Lead. The Estimator works in a team environment developing estimates for various projects throughout Canada for the Integrated Facilities support team. They work closely with Trade specific leads to price reactive, project and Capex replacement projects. This position works with key individuals on both the client and operations group. You MUST be able to and show experience in pricing HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing and architectural work for replacements and renovations. The Estimator is responsible for the accurate, timely preparation of full-cost estimates, including labour, materials, transportation, and 3rd party subcontracting. The Estimator also assists with our historical cost analysis, establishing unit rates, risk management and other related activities. Estimating accuracy is critical to the profitability of the business, as under-estimates may cause significant financial losses and over-estimates may result in the inability to win contracts.
