18 months of sleep experience, High school diploma/GED, RPSGT eligible, Active NJ Polysomnography Technologist license, Active Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

What You'll Do.
Review patient data for PSG
Hook patient up with electrodes
Perform pre-PSG equipment calibrations
Monitor patients throughout PSG
Make notations on patient records
Administer positive airway pressure
Perform special procedures
Remove electrodes at end of PSG
Document post-PSG findings
Document interpretation of PSG
Collect data for reports
Identify equipment malfunctions

Perform inter-scorer reliability test

May perform special procedures such as seizure monitoring, ambulatory monitoring, multiple sleep latency testing, maintenance of wakefulness testing, and end tidal CO2 monitoring. •
