Eligibility Requirements

Valid AZ driver license required at time of appointment, 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review, Pre-employment background checks, Ability to differentiate between colors

What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, project management, construction management, land planning, architecture, engineering or a related field, four years of professional experience in development project management or review, Valid driver license

Nice to Have

ICC Commercial Plans Examiner certification or related certifications, Minimum one (1) year experience applying and interpreting building codes and regulations, Minimum one (1) year experience with structural engineering principles, including load paths, Minimum one (1) year experience using GIS, permitting, and inspection software, Minimum one (1) year experience zoning, grading, and land development regulations, Minimum one (1) year experience assisting team members and providing customer service, Supervisory or lead experience, Minimum one (1) year experience using Microsoft Office Suite

What You'll Do.

Manage subdivision plats

development concept permits

site construction permits

Review projects for statutory and other regulatory requirements

Coordinate and guide internal and external agency approving authorities

Consolidate review comments from other agencies

Develop and implement new strategies for project and program development approval

Implement project and/or program quality control

Participate in code development/update processes

Coordinate development approval with business clients

Coordinate integration of business development activities

train and evaluate staff

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Coordinates and guides internal and external agency approving authorities; Serves as ombudsman in matters pertaining to private development project approval across County departments and exterior; Coordinates development approval with business clients and other County departments; Coordinates the integration of business development activities with those of other County departments
