Full Job Description

Employer: Amazon.com Services LLC Position: Site Manager, Operations AMZ8131.11 Location: North Andover, Massachusetts Multiple Positions Available: 1. Manage operations and logistics related to our workforce such as performance, productivity, safe work environment policies/procedures, and OSHA compliance, and adherence to quality control standards; 2. Manage and lead operations and salaried workforce/team of area managers to correct quality defects and effect process efficiencies to improve customer experience for Global Supply Chain Fulfillment/Distribution operations; 3. Perform capacity planning and analysis; 4. Assess and optimize processes and equipment; 5. Recommend changes to work methods and labor standards that increase operational efficiency and safety; 6. Drive Kaizen projects using Lean Process Improvement, Six Sigma methodologies and other performance metrics/process improvements and statistical decision-making tools to increase efficiency within processes, forecasting, planning, optimization, and logistics; 7. Conduct qualitative/quantitative data analysis to support business decision making and cross functional initiatives; 8. Work closely with support staff (HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, IT and Sr. Operations Managers) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives in their area, as well as providing needed support and resources for other staff initiatives. This also involves taking proactive steps, coordinating cross-functionally across different business units, to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network; and 9. Perform deep-dive analysis of complex data collected from the processes of the operations such as how orders are taken and processed, to the items available for selection and how these items are shipped and reach the customer, and continually innovate and optimize the processes for cost reduction and operation efficiency.
