### **Job Description** ## **Overview** We are seeking a **Site Inspector** to join our team in **Santa Fe** or**Las Vegas, NM.** We are gearing up for a high-volume hiring effort in support of the Hermit’s Peak / Calf Canyon claims operation through DHS. This project is part of a major federal effort supporting the FEMA Hermit’s Peak / Calf Canyon Claims Office, which was established to compensate New Mexico residents impacted by the Hermit’s Peak and Calf Canyon wildfires and subsequent floods. This work directly serves the communities of northern New Mexico, helping families, businesses, and local landowners recover and rebuild. _Work hours may vary but are generally expected to average between 40 and 60 hours per week over the duration of the project._ ## **Your role** * Conducts field inspections of damaged properties and mitigation work to support compensation recommendations. * Documents impacts from fires, floods, and land loss with photos, measurements, coordinates, and Xactimate values. * Perform onsite inspections, collect photos and evidence. * Document damages and mitigation work accurately. * Produce inspection reports using Xactimate. * Validate loss eligibility and required repairs. * Upload completed reports within required time frames. ## **About you** * _Education:_ High School Diploma. * _Experience:_ 10+ years in construction inspection, insurance adjusting, disaster assessment, or damage valuation. * _Damage Assessments:_ * Must be proficient and have a high degree of knowledge on how to use Xactimate to accurately structure POLs to provide adequate compensation for claimants to rebuild. * Must be proficient in assessing property and fire-related and flood-related damage accurately, which involves understanding the extent of damage, the required repairs, required documentation, and associated costs. * _Technical Knowledge:_ Disaster-related knowledge and background to accurately assess losses, damages, repairs, and replacement costs.
