What They're Looking For.
Must Have
H. S. diploma/GED required, 1-3 years or more experience in a maintenance operations environment required, Maintenance and Technical experience in a shop environment required
Nice to Have
Associate's degree preferred, Bachelor's degree preferred, Supervisory experience preferred, Experience with a Shop Management System preferred, Microsoft Office intermediate preferred, vehicle diagnostics/repair knowledge

Back up others within the shop
Adhere to Ryder Maintenance Operations policies

Schedule and assign work to technicians
Productivity tracking and optimization

Performance management of personnel
Customer relationship management
Ensure vehicle uptime
Conduct customer visits
Maintain appearance and maintenance of assigned location
Evaluate needs for shop tooling
Manage vehicle specifications
Parts Inventory management
Quality Inspections of PM & repairs
Perform In Process Reviews
Perform breakdown root cause analysis
Ensure Cleanliness and quality of repair
Ensure technicians are properly trained
Maintain control/visibility over shop floor activities
Ensure implementation of Quality Assurance Audit Corrective Action plans
Ensure Employee compliance with Safety and EPA regulations
Ensure shift/shop delivers against Net Maintenance Cost per Unit objectives
Cost control measures related to maintenance operations budget
Execute Maintenance Initiatives
Customer bill back process
Ensure data integrity in the Shop Management Online system
