May require travel, May require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance, Shop environment in with hazardous equipment, moving MHE, obstacles and high volume of activity, Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, walk, full dexterity, correctable vision, Outside work in hot and cold or wet weather is often required, Work environment often has fumes or airborne particles, Noise level is loud, Protective devices are required to avoid injury
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum three (3) months general work experience, High school diploma or GED required, May substitute experience for education at the rate of one year of general experience for one year of high school, Must be able to obtain license to use MHE within 30 days of selection, Packers who process material requiring HAZMAT Certification must be able to successfully pass training requirements
What You'll Do.
Pack and/or re-packs a wide variety of materials
Verifies condition code of item to be packed
Determines type of pack required
and disposes of material
Ensures material is properly preserved/packaged/marked/labeled
Selects proper size container and cushioning
Conduct basic processes of inspection/examination
Read specifications and photographs
Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
Receive data from and input data to DSS
Prepare basic reports
Prepare and apply tags/labels
