subject to a physical and expected to pass a drug screen during the pre-screen process, subject to random drug and alcohol testing, Occasionally lifting weights up to sixty (60) pounds, Climbing several flights of stairs and ladders, Opening valves, Occasionally bending, twisting, and turning while lifting weight of less than fifty (50) pounds, Data entry while seated for greater than one (1) hour, Walking up to two (2) or more miles per day, Pushing brooms, shovels, etc, Working at heights, in confined spaces, and at temperatures from -20 to +100 degrees, Standing for extended periods of time, Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Using hand and power tools, exposed to work in multiple environments, including plant, laboratory, as well as an office environment, exposed to high noise levels, moving mechanical parts, dusty conditions, internal and external temperature/weather conditions, and chemicals
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
High school diploma or equivalent secondary education preferred, Production or operational experience is an operational background in ethanol production is preferred, 3 years of previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred, Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to embrace change, You know the basics of Microsoft Office Suite, You’re capable of learning new programs
What You'll Do.
Supervise plant operations on shift
Influence and support execution of plant maintenance
Assure all daily documentation and required process information is completed
Make process decisions including shutting plant down
Contact the appropriate department manager with problems/concerns
Maintain and operate all processes associated with the plant
Develop an understanding of repair and maintenance of plant equipment
Understand basic electrical troubleshooting
Strive for maximum efficiency in plant operations
Learn and operate the DCS
Update SOP’s and train personnel for procedure changes
Respond to collected data and make adjustments
Perform or supervise the removal
and cleaning of all equipment
Perform or supervise preventative and proactive maintenance tasks
Coordinate effective communication during shift exchange
Operate forklift as necessary
Monitor safe forklift operations on a regular basis
Assure all products manufactured meet established specifications
Assure compliance with all company
State and Federal regulatory agencies policies
Foster a culture of safe behavior and environmental compliance
Maintain a team environment at all times
Lead the team by recruiting
orienting and training team members
